We currently have the GE GXSH40V water softener and I think it crapped out on me. Below are the current water levels in based upon the test I did yesterday:

Total Hardness: 250 ppm
Total Chlorine: .5 ppm
QAC/QUAT: 40 ppm
Sodium Chloride: 500 ppm
Total Alkalinity: 180 ppm
Carbonate: 80 ppm
PH: above 7.6 ppm

I need recommendations on a new water softener as the current system is 8 years old. I was looking at the Fleck 5600 SXT Whole House Water Softener. Our home is 4300 sq feet with 5 bathrooms. We have 3 persons in our family as well. In addition, I’m posting a picture of the current piping to the GE water softener. I would like to do it myself if possible. Any recommendations would be helpful including where to buy a new water softener and plumbers in my area.

Thanks!

Chris
