This is the item I have -

It has pop drain assembly that is meant for tops with overflow hole

So I guess I can not use above faucet ?
and I have to buy a faucet that is meant to work with sink without overflow hole?

@Reach4
if sink does not have a hole - than one should buy drain without overflow holes correct? can you please share a homedepot or lowes link so I have clear idea..Thanks.

if your top has three holes, you can use it. the pop up rod will just dangle. and you won't be able to use a conventional pop up drain if included in that faucet

Ive never seen faucets come with lav strainers not built for overlows ? youll need to buy 2 items a faucet less popup and a strainer for no overflow . Personally I would not touch glacier bay Id buy a cheap moen ,delta ,or pfister. if it came with pop up id save it for later use or toss it and buy what I need

Yes my sink has 3 holes ...just to clarify - I think you are saying - one can use above type faucet that comes with pop drain (rod) but there is no use for pop drain? I have not yet bought the above faucet - so with no overflow hole sink - should I buy faucet with overflow or faucet without overflow? nowadays they use push button type of drain rather than pop up type - I see on internet they recommend - buying no overflow drain if your sink does not have overflow holes - But I dont understand why - would not it be nice to have overflow holes at least in drain if sink does not have one?

Your sink has an overflow or dosent cheaper not to put one in perhaps less desireable apearance. it is what it is I probebly wouldnt buy one without overflow but you did and certainly return it get a new one is an option . Thickness at bottom of sink hole plays a part in this case as it might only take a certain type of pop up .

You can still use this faucet. Just have to buy a drain assembly for no overflow.
