I'm on a private well in the desert. I kept having high copper in my pool and ended up with a copper test that included fluoride. That test looked positive to me so I wanted to know more so I bought a Extech Fluoride meter and worked with their engineer for an hour confirming I have it calibrated correctly.
Distilled water tests 0.0 for fluoride
The RO tests at 5.1ppm for fluoride.
Water that has only gone through a paper filter reads OL / Over Limit.
I carefully diluted the well water with distilled water to get a reading.
4 part distilled 1 part well water gives me 5.6ppm fluoride
22.4ppm of fluoride cannot be safe. Can a double RO full house system with a big tank be a solution?
Please advise.
