Hello,

I have a iron cast fitting that connects to copper pipes in my crawl space. See pics for the fitting. The right hand side looks to be the vent. The left hand side connects to the kitchen drain on main floor. It also has a another exit behind the fitting that connects to the laundry sink basin. Again see pics for clarity.

I have to lower the kitchen sink drain because I got a deep sink and with a garbage disposal. That means I will be modifying the pipe on left. I also have plans to add a utility sink in my garage. My garage is also connected to the crawl space and I can manage to get pvc pipe from garage wall to crawlspace. I would also like to connect that garage drain to this iron case fitting. So, I figured i should just change out the old iron cast fitting.

I was planning on cutting the 3 lines around the fitting and then simply try to unscrew it from the threaded connection.

Questions:
1. Will my plan above to remove the old fitting work?
2. Can someone recommend a new PVC fitting that has like 3 inputs to drain?
3. The PVC fitting will not have threads on bottom, so how should i make the connection of the PVC fitting to the iron pipe that is in the concrete footer?

Thanks,
Chris

As a drain, the easiest option would be to tie into the copper above the fitting. You will not find a fitting like that now, so you will need to rework everything there, including new proper vents for the fixtures.
