Hello,
I have my own well and I run the water through an iron filter (fleck 2510) and softener when the water enters the house. At the start of the year I took my iron filter apart, replaced the media and the piston. I reinstalled it and everything was fine for 2 or 3 months. Then the water pressure dropped. For example, if you flush the toilet then all other faucets are reduced to dripping for 30/60 seconds.
The pressure into the house is good. The pressure is good if I bypass the iron filter.
I have taken the iron filter apart a few more times, looking for some sort of blockage but can't find anything wrong. There are no leaks or other issues. Can anyone suggest what I should be looking for? Many Thanks!
