I’m looking for advice on whether it’s possible to cut the supply lines short, cap them, and the drain cut back to the wall in order to install a base cabinet and only have 3 straight holes to cut as opposed to cutting a huge chunk out of the back and side of the cabinet. In my head I feel like I could cut the pex supply lines, cap it temporarily until I install the cabinet, and then add another connection afterwards to rejoin where I cut and have it sitting within the cabinet to allow proper access, and same for the drain. I’d prefer to get some feedback on whether that’s a good idea, or because of the current setup if I shouldn’t bother and re-install an open bottom laundry tub. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
