have a vacation home that I just had built in Mexico. It's in the Riviera Maya region, which is nothing but limestone. I had a hard time finding a kinetico water softener. My dealer was able to get one from a the other side of the country. They know absolutely nothing about them. They hardly ever use water softeners down here even though the water is hard.
I I need help setting this up. They sold me the Mach 2030s softener. It is just my wife and me living there. So not a lot of demand. I had a 50 micron pre-filter installed before the softener. The system came with a number 4 disc. The float is set at the second mark from the bottom. I don't believe this is correct. I had my water tested. Ithad 20 grains of hardness. No iron. No chlorine either.

Any advice as to where a good starting point would be. What number disc and where the float height should be. Also what letter to cut to below the float. Thanks for any advice. I am on my own with this down in Mexico.....

Call Aquatex in Alvin, Texas @ 281-331-7777.
They will be able to tell you what disc you need, and where and how to set the float. You will notice there are labeled "tabs" on it, that will need to be cut in order to properly operate.
