Hello,
I'm looking for some input to understand how to address a problem with water pooling on the edges of our new tub.
I just finished having my bathroom remodeled, including a new tub and rain shower head. After the first use, I noticed a large amount of water pooling on the edges of the tub against the wall. This is happening on all 3 sides. See pictures attached.
I reached out to our contractor who argued that this is a normal and expected thing given that our rain shower head is so close to the wall, that water will splash and spill down to the end. That I can understand, but what I don't understand is why the water isn't properly draining down into the tub instead of pooling there and sitting against the wall.
From what I can tell online, this is either an issue with the tub not being level or poor tub design or manufacturing and the edges aren't sloped properly. I checked the leveling of the tub and it looks good. So would this mean that there's likely a defect with the tub that's causing the water to not drain properly? Any advice on how to address this with our contractor?
Really appreciate any input and advice!
