Hello,

I hoping someone can give me advice for programming the settings on a new water softener.

48k
22 grains hardness
3 people in house
.5 gpm brine fill rare

I've been all over the forum, but still can't figure out how to come up with the proper settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming 48K is a 1.5 ft3 system then

in master settings.. sorry dont have the exact settings in front of me but in general...
DF set to ga
nt to 1
set C to 36K
set h to 25
RC set to cr if available, otherwise set to rc, then the next setting will be 180
set bw to 6
bd to 60
rr to 4
bf to 8
t.07 assuming you have the turbine meter. If you have the domed meter then p0.7 FYI, 90% of systems will have the turbine meter, this is a small sandwich meter between the valve and the bypass, the paddle wheel has a large dome.

Hope this helps

Thank you this is a huge help

Apperently I have a Pentair fleck 5600sxt. I'm not sure that makes a difference

Is this the domed meter? It looks like a dome.

That meter is bulletproof. I have seen them in commercial heavy use applications for decades still working.

Thank you. That's good to hear.

What does everyone think of those snap together connections?

Seems watertight, although I'm not sure how. I now know if flexed it leaks a bit, which doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.

There is no snap-in connection for the 5600sxt meters. There are screws and metal pieces that hold the meter to the body and bypass.
