Hello,

I am looking for some guidance on the right settings for a Fleck 5600sxt 40,000 grain capacity water softener. Specifically what my capacity and brine fill settings should be. My brine fill rate is 0.5 GPM per 1.5lbs of salt. I have a p.7 flow meter. Hardness is around 11 with 1 iron. thank you.

1. What is your tank size? 10x54, 10x44 or what?
2. How many people are using the soft water regularly?

Control valve settings are based on variables including the total quantity of resin, and the choice of desired salt efficiency.

List your softener's total softening capacity (ex: 32,000 grains), your water hardness as tested, water source (private well or municipal), if well water, the specific amount of iron and/or manganese (if any), and state the number of users.

Also specify which control valve model your softener is equipped with. Often indicated on a label somewhere on the control valve will be the BLFC and DLFC and injector size data, all of which will also be useful.
