I have an old 3 knob kohler system that is dripping water continously. I cannot find a replacement stem at home depot or my local plumbing store. My local store suggested I buy a stem replacement from Noel's but it looks a little different to me. Will this one work? Can anyone identify if this stem is still produced? If not can it be repaired?

Kissler remanufactures these kohler stems. here is a picture of the stem, diverter and a master repair kit with model numbers.
notice the barrel on the bottom of these stems...I imagine your barrel is still stuck in the valve body and will need to be removed. you can do this by screwing the stem only into the barrel and pulling them out. it might fight you but they do have to come out.
good luck.
