I see these around Seattle in commercial buildings, too many of them to have been installed as repair work. They seem to have been popular for a while in the late 80’s to early 90’s. They look a lot like a Fernco coupling but the have a ridged, textured pattern to the rubber between the steel bands. I know they wouldn’t fly today, we would replace with a no hub or husky band if we worked on it. The identity and history of these has piqued the interest of some of my work colleagues and I. LMK if you know the brand. Thanks!

There seems to be some molded-in text on the rubber. That could provide information.
