Sharing this story for any future slow drain issue seekers:

House system:
Cast Iron drains going under slab-on-grade house, south Texas (50 years old). Galvanized Stub-outs and vent pipe system. Turned out (aside from rusty stub-out thread) the drain was packed full of rusty grit from sometime ago. I cleared the clogged cast iron stack using a shop-vac, small hose, and washing machine drain hose. (Not before trying for a few hours with a plunger and snake, camera came later).

With the help of a cheap drain camera I was able to see the issue.

I then went outside to the main cleanout and ran the shop-vac hose up the line as far as I could, only 5 feet or so and removed a good bit of rust flakes that made their way down the line.

Those cheap small cameras are a game changer, when looking up clogged sinks, most of the stuff talks about p-traps.
