New construction, working on 2nd bath. I guess I found out the sequence of gluing a bunch of
ABS parts with lots of angles and slopes is kind of important. I tried to measure distances, angles
and slopes, but ended up being off a little bit on the first foot of pipe from the C/O.

The 40 ft of 3" ABS pipe from the end of the W/C Long T-Wye has a very consistent 1/4" per foot grade.
The trap arm for the toilet is right at 1/4" per foot as well. The tub drain line from the trap arm to the
san tee above the C/O is also right at 1/4" per foot.

Unfortunately, I must have cut one section of 2" pipe about 5/16" too long.
This resulted in the 12-14" section of 3" pipe from the C/O to the end of the
3" Long Wye being just about flat - maybe 1/16" grade toward the C/O.

I mentioned this to the inspector and he said he thought it would be fine, but that he would look
at it in a couple of weeks when I call for the DWV water fill inspection.

I can't imagine that I'd every get more than about 2 oz of trapped water from the tub in that little
section toward the C/O. What do you think? How do you check everything before gluing to make
sure complex parts are all going to fit at the right length and angle?

Thanks for your comments.

When you have a 40' run you also have to make sure you use straight 10 ft sections, with proper supports, not to create dips and bellies.
