Hello, all! I recently constructed a build-out for a shower niche and am wondering if it is necessary to install a corner bead on the outside corner where the two Kerdi boards meet (see arrow on attached picture)? I will eventually tile around that particular corner and use a Schluter profile strip for the transition. I wasn't sure if corner bead was necessary for reinforcement or any other purpose I haven't considered. Thank you!

YOu need KerdiBand on all seams and screw fastener penetrations. Industry standards do call for any changes of plane or materials to have movement accommodation, so that's where your profile would come into play.
