I want to drain my dehumidifier into my sink's plumbing, but we already have a tubular branch tailpiece installed to handle the condensation from the AC system. How can I add my dehumidifier drain to this sink?

Thanks!
Nick

IMHO, what you have now isn't ideal. You want the connections to be before the p-trap, not afterwards. But, once you did that, a Y would work IF you had a high loop so waste wouldn't likely get pushed back if there were a clog.

Being inserted after the p-trap means any sewer gasses could vent through those lines.

Hey, wait a minute.

This is awkward, but...
