Hey all I am in need of some advice on a shop I am building in my back yard. I am trying to DIY as much as I can but there is a few things such as concrete work that I just cant accomplish with a buddy and a case of beer. I am mainly looking for some assistance with direction and advice on how to get the plumbing roughed in before this slab gets poured. I will post my plans (which I am open to feedback), but am really looking for a guidance on actually getting this laid out correctly and not be a headache for the inspector or my concrete guy.

- Does anyone have any books they reccomend for plumbing that specifically deal with concrete slabs? Or any youtube videos?
- I would really like use a gravity drain ice maker, but trying to decide on wether to use a floor drain. hub drain, or a floor sink. All the floor sinks seem way too big for this use, so if you have one you recommend I would appreciate it.
- Is a fiberglass shower base the easiest option for roughing in the drain?
- Any tips to make life easier for myself both below and above the slab?
- Any major mistakes to avoid issues with inspections? First time dealing with inspectors, as I have always been on the design side.

My advice is to have a local pro do all of the underslab. There are so many pitfalls that we have had to deal with that well meaning DIY folks do, it is not a place to make the mistakes that we have been trained to avoid.
ONLY install a duplex sewer pump system. We suggest Liberty pro, with everything pre-plumbed in the tank.
