Can my inlet and outlet be from the same hole in storage tank

I am installing a 2500 gallon reservoir up on a hill, about 20 feet above my house and well. I want to send one 2 inch pipe up to the tank, connecting it at the bottom, and then to my garage 100 feet away where my pumps and filtration will be. I have seen numerous diagrams, and have only seen a few bottom hole inlet/outlet systems.

I am wondering, can I put a T on this 2 inch pipe in the garage, with one side pumping in from a low yield well, another side pumping water out into the house system with a booster pump, and the last side of the T connecting to the storage tank? Or do I need to do a top fill and a bottom drain in the reservoir tank? If I do it one hole fill/drain, will there be pressure issues or slow fill issues?

A problem with not having an air gap from the well feeding the cistern is if there is a leak or failing check valve the cistern will dump back into the well. But filling the cistern and drawing water for a booster pump through the same bottom connection will work.

I appreciate the speedy reply and explanation.

That issue doesn't seem too bad, especially if I double up on check valves, but I will review my options.

Use just one good check valve. Doubling up on check valves causes them to fail more often. Might consider something like an RPZ instead of just a check valve.

I've never heard of RPZ valves before, I'll take a look. Also didn't know that double check valves can cause them to fail more often than one, guess you learn something new everyday.
