That may sound confusing? I have an old Delta 600 shower valve only in my basement with the ball type cartridge without stops.
It is old and lime scaled with no pressure. I would like to just sweat it off and re-fit a Delta r10000 in it's place. My problem is that I have very little work space, so I'm hoping that the cold and hot 1/2" swt and 1/2" shower tube all share the same xy axis from center. I want to just be able to slip it in and sweat it after removing it? Is this possible? I mean, is it a straight retrofit? If it's not, it looks like I'm going to have to re-tile because the hole that was originally cut is 6" in diameter, and the largest delta escutcheon I can find is 6.5". That's the size there now and leaves me zero room to do anything with raising or lowering the shower pipe. Backset is the same, so I'm really hoping it's just simple sweat it off and sweat the new.on, job.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide! J
