I just got a 80 gallon electric water heater for free, it still works fine, my friend just bought a house and didn't like seeing rust on bottom of it and converted to tankless.

I am still building my home, its just a wide open insulated space with finished slab right now, I have a emergency drain that is well sloped. I want to put a shower head right above the drain and get a curtain around use it as a shower but temporarily. The issue is I am living off a water tank that I get filled monthly, the nearest wall to put valve is out of reach, so I want to add a pause or trickle valve within my reach. I have seen them on shower heads but the shower head will be 8' above.

Any suggestions how to do this? Preferably the cheapest option as I want to save for the actual bathroom. I finally have hot water and just wanna shower in my own home!

I have plenty of 1/2" and 3/4" pex and plastic and M/FIP fittings to use, just need valve, head, and pause valve.

How about a pull chain shower like they have at the beach. They shut off and don't cost a fortune. A shower head with some brass pipe and elbows to connect it all and you got yourself a temporary shower. Lowes and Amazon have them.
good luck.

30 bucks ? how do you control temp ? a couple cheap valves like 5 bucks each and a few bucks worth of cpvc mounted to a 2x4 youll have a shower with adjustible temp

That pull valve is just to stop the flow to head to conserve water.

I will have hot and cold valves connected to tee that goes to the pull valve then to the 2 dollar brand new head I found yesterday at HoH.

With having a valve just to stop flow to the shower head creating a cross connect. Someone opens a valve or flushes a toilet hot water could flow out their valve or fill toilet with hot water.

I thought about that, but I will be fine as I am the only one living here. Once well is done, I will just remove the pull valve and save it to use for a outdoor shower in the future.

makes sence to me now buying a 30 dollar shut off instead of the cheapest ball valve available for a temp situation I dont know how the other guy knew you would need such a thing. we arent talking legal so inspectors might not like it some are very lax but people arent allowed to live in construction projects but Id trust my own life on it , if its some rural area they might not care around the city they sometimes raise a stink , especially when they see furniture clothes cooking facilities etc befor final inspection
