Hi everyone!
Another baseboard heating question. I have a single zone baseboard heating system on a smaller ranch house. The supply splits into two pipes, one runs along the front of the house and one runs along the back of the house. 3/4” pipe on the supply. When both pipes reach the end of the house they both terminate into a wye that increases to 1” and returns to the boiler. The 1” pipe is currently hanging from the joists returning to the boiler.
I am currently renovating my basement and I don’t want anything hanging from the ceilings that I would have to box out. I would like to replace the wye with a 1” tee and run 1” Pex back to the boiler tucked within the joists. Is there any issue with flow to run a tee instead of a wye when returning to the boiler?
Thanks in advance!
