Novice question: The basement laundry area was plumbed correctly with threaded metal p-trap and pipe ready for connection to washer drain line.
I am adding a washer box for inlets and I want to connect the threaded metal drain pipe to the washer box. How can I connect them? I have seen that there are threaded connectors that join metal pipe with PVC, but are they strong enough for this purpose? Seems like the washer could cause a lot of vibration and the draining water could have a lot of pressure.
I will probably call a professional but want to know more about options first.
