Hi Guys, I'm installing a Delta three piece acrylic surround above a matching Delta acrylic bathtub. The instructions show only using adhesive on the outside edges of the back panel. It shows center of the back panel, and the side panels having sill plate seal stapled to the studs, and then of course the screws on the outer flanges.

Any reason I shouldn't just use adhesive on all the supporting studs instead of the sill plate gasket? I hate when the walls on acrylic surrounds flex, but I don't know if acrylic needs any room for expansion and contraction. I've only ever installed tile surrounds. Also, any recommendations for the adhesive itself? I have a couple bottles of the Loctite tub surround stuff I was planning on using.

Thanks for the help!
