    Lead flange and cast iron stack

    I'm helping a friend replace a toilet and this is what we’ve found. Cast iron stack with a lead flange? coming out of the cast iron. Wondering how to remove this and what should he use. See picture. We cut through car decking and 3/4 inch plywood. Any advice is appreciated.
