I am installing a hot water tank for my first time. I am wondering what the clearance above the tank needs to be before I can use PEX? Can I use the 18" SharkBite attachments and attach the PEX to them and have the appropriate clearance? I currently have copper lines running there and can reuse them if needed, the rest of the plumbing is PEX (the copper is attached to a pex line).
