I Goggled replace shower pan with tub. All I get is the opposite. Ya, I know, I'm bass ackward...I wanna SOAK!

So we have an OLD, crummy fiberglass shower pan set on a concrete slab. White subway tiles run the 3 walls. I want to tear out that old pan, crack open the concrete to move the center drain to the right and place a tub in the space. The area is just big enough to do a regular sized tub. I like the white subway tiles and would like to leave them. Also, some of the tiles down at the base are cracked, and they don't make these anymore, but wouldn't the tub cover them up anyways?? If I CAN just place the tub in there, how do I seal the line where the tub meets the tiled walls on all 3 sides?

I SO do not want to tear out the entire tiled walls and start from scratch!! I've never done it, it costs money, I don't have time... Anyone??

It's impossible to fit a tub in under the tile.
The wall board and tile go in after the tub is set.

You will want to re-think your plan on that one.
The drain moves from center of pan, to end of pan.
You will need to plumb for a tub spout, and while you are at it, most likley a new pressure balanced valve.
The tile fits over the lip of the tub, comining almost all the way down. The last bit is Silicone.

Your existing shower pan at least should be sloped...not a great surface to install a tub on which expects a flat and level one. While you could do this, you'd need to essentially gut the area before you could start to install the tub. There are some tubs with a center drain, but your choices are somewhat limited and the drain line for a shower should be 2", while a tub generally only needs 1.5", so you'd have to convert and you may or may not have enough height to do it.
