I currently have an old builder grade toilet. Due to medication I sometimes get constipated and have high volumes to flush and it often clogs, but clears easily with plunger, but other times I need to brush the bowl quite a bit.

I read your thread about large stools and saw you recommended either a caroma or a kohler pressure assist. Would the kohler pressure assist do what I need in being harder to clog, but clean the bowl well? Would there be a better choice out now? Would a Toto Drake clean the bowl very well?

Also, since the kohler seems to be 1.0 gallons now would it still work as well? Can you still buy the 1.6 gallon version in Washington?

Thanks

You can't beat ANY brand pressure assist for cleaning and virtually guaranteed flush power. Kohler, Am Std. really any P.A. uses the same tech inside the tank. I doubt you can buy the 1.6 gpf. The 1.28 would be fine.
always check the free MaP WC testing for any product you are interested in. https://map-testing.com/
fyi, two prunes once a day will help tremendously.

I'm partial to Gerber, but as @Breplum said any of the major brand pressure assist will be good. No toilet is clog proof, but pressure assist is as close as you can get. You cannot get 1.6 gpf in WA unless it is old stock inventory, which is highly unlikely as the EPA restrictions went into effect 2+ years ago. 1.25 gpf is still approved, most pressure assist are 1 gpf tho. The Caroma with its 3" trapway would be my recommendation if you wanted to stick with gravity flush.
