What thermostat wire should I use?

Hi, am putting up Sheetrock and see different thermostat wire types, , 18/8, 18/6, 18/5, so asking what is best, will have oil furnace, two zones , hot water baseboard. Looking for relatively simple thermostat. Thanks.

18/8. You can never have enough wires, because you do NOT KNOW what you will need in the future.

I only run 8/18 you never know if you want to add something later. Doesn't cost that much more.

Oil furnace or boiler? Two zones what are they and the baseboard turning on pump or valves? Thermostats line or low voltage heating only.
