Hello, I am a DIYer that just had my rough inspection on my self built house. Overall went well, but I got dinged on not having a Vacuum Relief Valve on my bottom feed water heater. I'm trying to figure out how I can install one with as little disruption to my current setup as possible (the Uponor fittings are expensive)!

Most of the VRV installs that I'm seeing are at the top of a loop... I'm wondering if I could plumb mine in as shown in my attachment? As long as it is above the top of the tank, I don't see why it wouldn't work.
