Utility pump for basement sink and venting

I am aware of the need of proper venting in a plumbing system but wanted to see if there is any drawbacks to this. I see those Youtubes with basement sink setups that use a utility pump that doesn't require a p trap or any venting. Are there any drawbacks to using a system like this as far as affecting my regular plumbing in the house or would an inspector point something out about a system like this. Thanks!
