Simple addition of a pole barn and running plumbing to a half bath. I want to do it to code but it's virtually impossible to find out some of the specifics. Questions I have are pretty simple, how deep does the sewer line need to be under the slab and how deep does the water line need to be? I've found everything from dropping the sewer down to 30" outside of bldg to needing to be at least 36" the entire way. Along with the water line being 30" to 42". In southern indiana. Any help would be appreciated.

https://www.hammerpedia.com/indiana-frost-line/ has higher numbers than some sites.

https://www.in.gov/isdh/files/Frost_Penetration.pdf is probably OK, but if you are subject to code rules, the county will have defined a number.

In practice, sewer can often get by a little shallower, since it is normally empty. Where is the sewer going to? A septic tank, or city sewer, or what? I am not a pro.

The sewer is getting connected to my existing sewer line in the front yard. I can't find anything specific to sewer line depth per code, are they treated the same as water supply lines? Seems silly to bury it 3 feet deep under a slab, but I will if it's necessary.
