I have a Trinity ti150 boiler that I use for hot water demand and also heating basement floors in winter. My question is the honeywell 3 way valve actuator keeps failing every year I need to replace it as the valve wont open because the valve is shot.
When I change it out I have noticed a little corrosion around the stem, but cleans up ok and valve works and doesn't look to be leaking at the time. My service guy said about once a month shoot it at the stem with some wd40 to keep it loosen.
Also if you notice in picture the valve is upside down and backwards so really hard to pull spring open to get actuator off the valve stem. If I get the valve moved outside the boiler and place it upright or even vertical would this help the valve work better then upside down. Just thinking lubricating valve stem in a enclosed area with wd40 wouldn't be a good thing even a little. but also if the valve was on the outside of boiler and upright setiment wouldn't lay around the valve when not running.
thanks for any advice.

The powerhead
must be even with or above the center line of the piping.

"Making the same mistake and expecting a different outcome" is essentially describing the concept of "insanity," often attributed to Albert Einstein, where someone repeatedly does the same thing while hoping for a different result; meaning they aren't adapting or changing their approach despite facing negative consequences.

when I turn the floor on it usually around 70 degrees, as I mentioned the valve is the issue causing the actuator to fail, so going to replace valve and actuator next time it fails, but think moving it out side the boiler and putting it up instead of upside down would be better and less issue with it failing also easier to work on if needed.
