Hello, first post here!
Last year, we replaced our main bathroom with a Toto RP Wall Hung toilet (model CWT44247CMFG and corresponding carrier WT172M). We absolutely love the toilet. Flushes well, quiet, and easy to clean. Absolutely no issues. Water pressure in this bathroom is a bit weaker.
A few months ago, we renovated our 2nd bathroom and installed the “compact” version of the same toilet (CWT427227CMFG with same WT172M carrier). I’m not a fan of the shorter bowl (should have thought this out carefully), but more importantly, the water splashing upon flushing is driving me CRAZY. Water splashes up. It has landed on the seat, the floor, and even on the walls. Water pressure in this bathroom is very strong compared to the other bathroom.
I purchased everything to Toto’s spec - i.e. the WT172M carrier. The only difference other than bowl size is that the water pressure.
I’m tempted to rip out the compact and replace with full-sized version. Not happy about more plumbing bills here, but I just can’t take the aggressive water splashing.
Before shocking my husband with this decision, is there anything that our plumber should be addressing? Is it possible the installation was faulty - I don’t think so, but just want to cover this in case. Or if there’s some solution to the aggressive flush.
