We are renovating our small master bath and, after a trip to Japan several years ago, really want to splurge on a "smart" toilet. The Neorest seems to widely spoken about as the best available bidet integrated toilet in the US but we understand that the DXV AT200 with its dual wands may potentially be an adaptation of possibly superior INAX technology? It also has a slight advantage that the Neorest seems to be rather long - 31+ inches (replacing our current 27") in a tight space. We may have to switch a door from opening in to opening out to accommodate the Neorest.

Does anyone have any experience positive or negative with either model?

Much appreciate any advice.

Anytime parts or service is needed the cost will be quite high ( $250 if you drop the remote control )and they may become obsolete very soon, the same way INAX parts became obsolete overnight when they closed in 2013. The seats on the other hand are much less expensive, projected life is 7 years and you toss or repair them as options. There is no distinct advantage over the combination unit other than the auto flush. Bain Capital a British holding company owned American Standard and LIXIL purchased them and INAX ( and 4 other companies) and combined the two. They closed the INAX factory in Nagoya Japan now have the seats made in several countries such as Korea and China. I would definitely recommend the seats as a better alternative to the combination units.
