Hello all,
I'm replacing my builder's grade gerber in my 2 year old home with a Toto Drake. The flooring is LVP with the integrated foam padding over the top of OSB. The floor is also brand new as I ripped it up due to a toilet overflow a few weeks ago. The old toilet was installed without any shims, and just clear silicone caulk. When I put the Toto in, I notice if I put a pretty good amount of weight on the very front I can maybe push the toilet down like 1/16", and I can see the tank move a tiny bit. However, it doesn't move at all with just a little bit of attempts to rock it back and forth. Shims don't really fit under the back or front either, as it seems pretty snug to the floor. Is this movement something to be concerned with, or is it simple the LVP's foam underneath compressing a little bit when applying pressure? I just want to make sure I don't need to put it all back off and redo the wax ring (I went with normal wax after attempting a Danco perfect seal the first time incorrectly). Thanks!
