Should my flexible fill tube go directly into the tank or should it go down the overflow tube? Since this model doesn't use a siphon, I'm thinking it is a waste of water to dump it into the overflow while filling the tank because the washdown flush should already leave enough water in the bowl.

The installation instructions say to clip it to the overflow tube, but that could mean either pointing it in or out.

No way they thought you might interpret that as to point out into the tank.

This video shows it installed pointing out into the tank.

Someone commented saying it was installed wrong. Then someone else argued that it was correct because it is a washdown toilet.
