The wife and I just bought a house and the water smells strong of rotten eggs and the water is very discolored in the bathtub. We had a water test done and here are the results:
11 gpg harness
292 ppm TDS - raw
6.09 ppm iron
.367 ppm Manganese
.7 ppm Tannin
Iron Bacteria Present
7.72 PH
100' Well
Unknown GPM at the moment, I will be doing that test next time I'm at the house

Before we learned we had elevated Tannin levels, I had a system spec-ed out for peroxide injection, katalox iron filter then a twin tank water softener. Now, I've been told that tannins must be removed first because if they oxidize, they will gum up the resin in the filters. Most tannin filters Ive seen require low iron content to function properly, so how do I put that tank first?. Plus I feel that unless the peroxide is injected first, the iron eating bacteria will infect the first tank.

Anyways, I'm new to wells and could use some help with what filters to use and where to place them in order. Thanks.
