Hi. In my back yard there's an old sump pump and plastic pit that was there because the former owner had a swimming pool and a hot tub. The hot tub and pool have both been removed. The sump hasn't been working for about 1 year which is when I purchased the home. Since we're having landscaping and grading done soon, I want to remove the pit. Also there's another sump and pump inside the house that works if necessary.

My question is whether or not I need to remove the drainage hose also when I remove the sump pit. Or can I leave the drainage hose buried?

Newbie here and novice at this kind of work. Many thanks.
