sump pump drain clog

Our sump pump drains into washing machine drain. Just had a lot of rain and the drain is overflowing. The drain was ok before. Wonder if the sump pumped debris into the drain causing this to clog.

Sump pumps should not be connected to a sewer or septic system, they should discharge outside, away from the home's foundation.

There is no way we can tell you what has clogged your laundry drain, but now you have a least 2 problems which should be corrected.
