I've used a couple of them, but they were on copper. So, no internal sleeve on the fixed end? If so, no, it should not be used with pex...sorry, thought it had it. It would be nearly impossible to provide that reinforcement on the slip side, so that makes sense, but not on the fixed end.

Definitely no sleeve, and no reason to apologize. Once I realized I could use copper it was probably easier to fix with that than to fight more with the PEX.
