Hi everyone,

15 years ago when my house was remodeled the plan was to put in a solar hot water system. The plumber at the time ran a pipe from the basement to the Attic which was a dual soft copper pipe with a control wire wrapped in insulation.

Fast forward to today, the hot water system never went in and at this point will not. I'm looking to repurpose these two copper pipes to bring a hot/cold water line up to a room upstairs this is the only way without alot of demo for access.

When I went to work on it today I realized that this half inch copper pipe, is actually a millimeter or two less than half inch. Regular copper pipe OD is 5/8 the OD of this pipe is slightly shy of 15 mm. The only marking on the insulation of this pipe is 14/015

Does anyone know what this pipe is and if there's an adapter they can bring me back to standard 1/2 copper.

Thanks
