We’re redoing our master-bath and the old 1.5” drain has a glued 90 degree down elbow on it as soon as it comes out of the wall. The new sink drain is a good 10” to the right of this AND 8” or so in front of where it comes out of the wall. It’s the immediate down angle as soon as it comes out of the wall that’s causing problems. Is there a way to remove this glued female fitting from the 1.5” pipe coming from the wall so I can extend it out?
Thanks

Saw it off where it attaches to the 1.5” drain pipe coming out of the wall? It’s right up against the wall. Sawing it there would mean I’d have to glue the new female through the wall...which I’ll do if I have to....just didn’t know if there was an alternative

didnt know it was tight to the wall, i dont know if there is any pipe inside wall either it you might have to cut it right at the fitting and use a ram bit to drill it out if its plastic inside wall. which it could be plastic in walls or not? a lot of guesswork because none of this information is known.
could be several variations actually right up against the wall is not so hard at all cut it off take a knife and cut enough clearance in drywall to get your fitting to glue on. actual job conditions unknown to me

Hi guys. Thanks for the replies and sorry for the lack of a better description. I was just going to cut it off leaving at most 3/16 of an inch of 1.5 pipe exposed and then push a female coupler onto it and into the wall. But I thought before I do, let me see if heat would have any affect...and it worked. I softened the glued 90 enough to make it pliable and then slowly peeled it off the 1.5" pipe. I then cleaned up the newly revealed pipe with some sand paper...now it's ready for female to female connector. Thanks to all for chiming in.
