Shower knob brand? Date? How to remove?

I have a shower that has began to drip. Not sure how to proceed with the repair. First how to remove knob, then maybe figure out what brand and if parts are available. Any help will surely be appreciated!

the topmost cap unscrews from the brass ring. It can be quite tight.

Thanks so much for the reply. I have a small nylon strap wrench I’ll try on it. Any idea on the faucet brand?
