screen for vent pipe?

After reading several stories of clogged vent pipes, I am wondering if some type of screen is recommended for a vent pipe. I found bird bones in mine when replacing a 3" vent this past weekend.

Sure, use screen door mesh, just make sure you keep the screen clear of debris.
