We are thinking of relocating the bathroom on our second floor in order to change our three-bedroom house into a four-bedroom house.
I read a few things on google about relocating a bathroom and was wondering if I could get some input as to whether or not these things are true.
First off, is it true that you can just cap off existing water and waste lines and "start fresh" in the new location?
Our basement is unfinished but there is a rough-in for a bathroom. The new location we want for our second story bathroom is directly above where the basement rough-in is. Would we be able to tie the second-floor waste pipe into the basement waste pipe?
Attached are plans for our 2nd level and basement as they are right now as well as images of what we would like to do.
Is this even possible?
