This pipe is the main water line from my water softener to the house. I want to T off that line to a hose bib farther down my property. My question is do I need a backflow fitting or check valve so the water doesn’t get pulled back into the house from the new piping?
Also the current hose bib that is connected to my water line to the house doesn’t have a vacuum breaker. Should I install one?
Thanks for any help as I want to do it right.
