is there a benefit to making a 1" PEX manifold instead of 3/4" for both hot and cold water? Then running 1/2" off of that to each fixture.

Will a 1/2" water line to a shower/bath supply enough volume/pressure? or should i go with 3/4" for these types of fixtures?

Unless it's a real gusher-shower with side sprays and an oversized rain head a dedicated home-run of half inch to the shower from a manifold is more than enough. For home runs to sinks & toilets etc. 3/8" PEX is commonly used.

If it were JUST a shower (no tub) with a normal flow shower head 3/8" would be fine but a standard bath tub would call for half-inch.

There is no call for a dedicated 3/4" line to a bathroom unless filling large spa tubs. (Got a 90 gallon Jacuzzi?)

Hey, wait a minute.

This is awkward, but...
