Need HELP disconnecting Culligan exchange tank

Hoping someone can help me ..trying to disconnect my portable Culligan exchange tank to check the screen I've never seen any fittings like this. Not sure if it needs a special tool or what help would be appreciated. Text if u can help please 812 605 9692 Rick

It probably slides together similar to an air compressor coupling. you would have to make sure its not live then just tap it apart. But, since those are usually on "monthly exchange tanks/rental units" why do you have to check the screens?

The grooves are tapered so you have to push them from the narrowside back to where they start getting thicker
