Need advice please, can't turn shower handle to its OFF position

I unfortunately can't move it in the clockwise direction any further than where it is, and water started dripping from my showerhead. The handle has been like this for a few days, but the water just started dripping today.

Is there an easy fix to this that I can potentially do by myself, or will I need to call a plumber?

More than likely, you need a new cartridge. However, you might want to check your house pressure and see if there's a problem there.
