Had 3 plumbers come and they cannot figure this out. Really hoping someone has experience with this situation.
15 year old tank water heaters were replaced with Navient 240A tankless water heater. Navicirc "T" were placed in master bathroom. My Streamlab sensor would have intermittent throughout the day pressure spikes to 100-135 PSI all the time. Night maybe a bit worse than day, but 24/7 for most part. Heater in basement. Navicirc on second floor bathroom.
1) PRV was checked and is brand new and working set to 55 PSI
2) City came out and confirmed appropriate pressure coming to house and not overpowering PRV
3) No check flow distal to PRV
4) Streamlab pressure sensor was confirmed to be working correctly (but we replaced anyways
5) Trying to install Navicirc in a different bathroom did not help
5) The only thing that worked was removing the Navicirc device and from that day on pressure in range with PRV.
6) Opening the faucet for a couple of drops of water always cured, but not leaving dripping 24/7
7) There is Globe expansion tank on the tankless and set to same PSI as PRV. Although it seems small the globe was confirmed by plumber to be the correct volume/size for the system
Sucks having to wait 5 minutes for the shower to get hot water without Navicirc installed. Has anyone seen/have a fix for this?
Thanks!!
